A very special thank you to Henkel Construction for allowing GCCSD to walk through the worksite and record the tour. Also, thanks to Sam Harding for acting as the tour guide and Prairie Lakes AEA for providing the 360 camera. Construction on the new Greene County High School and Regional Career Academy continues to go well and is on target for an August completion for the career academy, academic wing, gymnasium and commons.
The auditorium is also on schedule but for an October completion date.
District technology director Brent Gerzema recently recorded a 360 degree video site tour. The videos have been uploaded to YouTube and are completely interactive, allowing viewers to look 360 degrees while the tour is conducted.
The district thanked Henkel Construction for allowing GCCSD to walk through the worksite and record the tour; Sam Harding for acting as the tour guide; and Prairie Lakes AEA for providing the 360 camera.
Links to the videos can be accessed on the district’s webpage (gccsd.k12.ia.us) by scrolling down to the District News section and clicking the New Construction Virtual Tour link.
But, because GreeneCountyNewsOnline is a step ahead of print media, readers can access them easily here.
First, visit the construction superintendent’s trailer for an overview of the 360-degree tour.
Now follow Sam Harding and Brent Gerzema into the career academy.
The next stop is the classroom areas.
Now through the commons area into the gymnasium.
Finally, visit the auditorium.
